Body Work Services

Approaching your horse initially will be detailed. Time and approach are key. Expect a brief discussion regarding completed online form; introduction approach; conformation & gait analysis; & massage application.

 

*Online form located under Initial Equine Massage Form 

*Please ensure online form is completed 24hrs prior to scheduled appointment.

*Please ensure your horse is dry & well groomed. An additional $10 charge will be applied if grooming is required.

*Initial equine massage requires owner to be present.

 

Conformation & gait analysis will include an evaluation of your horse standing square from front, back & both sides; observing walk & trot on a straight line away & toward; & assessing walk, trot & canter, both directions, on a lunge line.

 

*If your horse is not capable of any of these steps, we will revaluate our approach.

*This is not a lameness exam.

 

Massage application will include, not limited to, specific massage techniques based on loud & subtle expressions communicated by your horse. The extended session time allows for a successful approach with permission. An evaluation & tools will be discussed in detail to ensure overall physical & mental improvements to maintain your horse's health & happiness. Extensive notes will be emailed by the end of the day or following business day. Notes will include a skeletal image with pinpointed troubled areas; a thorough & detailed evaluation of massage techniques utilized with specific affected muscle locations; & a suggested plan going forward.

*50 miles + from Warner, NH there is an additional $1 fuel surcharge per mile.

After your horse's initial massage, Approach Point may recommend a maintenance massage(s).

 

Maintenance massage(s) will include, not limited to, a tailored plan based on initial visit specifics, our follow up conversation, & my comprehensive notes. A tailored plan may include myofascial techniques; stress points; & saddle fit analysis. An evaluation & tools will be discussed in detail to ensure overall physical & mental improvements to maintain your horse's health & happiness. Extensive notes will be emailed by the end of the day or following business day. Notes will include a skeletal image with pinpointed troubled areas; a thorough & detailed evaluation of massage techniques utilized with specific affected muscle locations; & a suggested plan going forward.

Did you know geldings & stallions should have a thorough sheath cleaning every 6 months? Is he starting to make weird squeaking noises? A thorough cleaning can help. Routinely having your horse's goods cleaned may also help identify abnormalities to be further examined by a vet.

 

*Owner presence required.

*Horse should be clean & historically stand quietly on crossties.
